*My mother taught me about ENVY-"There are millions of less fortunate children in this world who don't have wonderful parents like you do."

THANKS, MUM!

How to Treat a Girl

1.Whatever you do, don't just show up at their house...they run around in their underwear just like guys do.

2. Don't cheat on them. It may seem foolproof, but girls tell each other everything about everything. Trust me, they WILL find out.

3. Beware of every single male relative and all guy friends. Any of them would kick your ass at the drop of a hat, and a lot of them wouldn't even wait for the damn hat.

4. Never miss an opportunity to tell them they're beautiful.

5. Don't refuse to kiss in front of your friends. If they laugh at you, it's because they're jealous.

6. If they slap you hard, you deserved it.

7. Don't be afraid to touch them if you want to. If they're going out with you in the first place, it's because they like being in your arms.

8. If you don't sleep with them, do not tell your friends that you did.

8.5 If you DO sleep with them, don't tell your friends that you did.

9. You can be dirty minded in private, really...most of them are not offended by it...

10. Not all of them eat like birds, alot of them can eat like whales.

11. Most of them don't mind paying half of everything, but they do discuss these things with their friends. Realize that if you make your girlfriend pay half all the time, everyone will know about it and your friends will know you're a jackass.

11.5. Do you honestly need all your money that much? Be a man, pay all the time!

12. Every girl should eventually get three things from her boyfriend- a stuffed animal, one of his sweatshirts, and a really pretty ring. Even if it's not a serious relationship.

13. Make sure she gets home safely as often as you can. If you're dropping her off, walk her to the door. If you aren't dropping her off, call to be sure she's home safely.

14. If a guy is bothering her, it is your right to kick the s**t out of him.

15. If you're talking to a female friend of yours, pull your girlfriend closer.

16. Never, ever slap her, even if it's just in a joking way. Even if she swats you first, and says, "Oh, you're so dumb" or something, never make any gestures back.

17. Go to a chick flick once in a while. She doesn't care whether you enjoy it or not, it just matters that you went.

18. You're dead meat if you can't get along with their pets, parents and best friends. Be prince charming to their friends, Mr. Polite to their parents, and make sure to be nice to their animals.

19. Don't flirt with their moms...that's just freaky.

20. Don't be freaked out by PMS. It's not gross, and it really does make them feel like s**t, so be understanding.

21. If you don't like the way they drive, you do it.

22. If you're officially dating, and you're introducing her to your friends, you'd better damn well introduce her as your girlfriend.

23. Don't stress where you go for every date. They really only want to be with you.

24. If they complain that something hurts, rub it for them without being asked.

25. Girls are fragile. Even if you're play fighting/wrestling, be very gentle.

26. Memorize their god damned birthdays. You forget her birthday and you're basically screwed for life.

27. Don't marinade the cologne, but smell good.

28. Don't give her something stupid for her birthday or Christmas or Valentine's day. It doesn't have to be expensive, but it has to be meaningful.

29. If you think the relationship isn't going to last, don't wait to find out. It will only hurt you more if you draw it out.

30. After you've been dating for a while, realize that they really have started to trust you. When you have a girlfriend who truly trusts you, you have a lot more responsibility, priviledge and control than you would think. Be careful with it, most guys would kill for that kind of power, and it can be lost in a nanosecond

Bad WTF moments of 2010

WTF Libido of the Year – Ranbir Kapoor’s drive
If the tabloids are right, at last count, Ranbir Kapoor has shared more than just screen space with: Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor and recently-in-news hottie, Nargis. He has also done more than just movies with them, enjoyed more than just their company, and practiced more than just his lines with them…. If you know what I mean.

WTF Quote of the Year – Tie between Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s and Suresh Kalmadi’s tongue of slips
Q: Is Chetan Bhagat a human being or an alien? Vidhu Vinod Chopra (VVC): ‘You shut up!’ Q: ‘How does VVC celebrate New Years?’ VVC: ‘You shut up!’ Q: How did the chicken cross the road? VVC: ‘You shut up!’ Q: What’s the one thing you should never tell the media? VVC: ‘You shut up!’ Q: What advice should Suresh Kalmadi be given if he isn’t sure Princess Diana is dead or alive? VVC: ‘You shut up!’

WTF Award of the Year – Arjun Rampal is Best Supporting ‘Actor’ for Rock On
Arjun Rampal winning a National Award for ‘acting’ was like Yuvraj Singh winning Least Fat Cricketer Award, Mimoh winning the Best Name Award, Shekhar Suman winning Best Cleavage Award or Justin Bieber winning Most Facial Hair Award (Male). Only, it was WORSE.

WTF English of the Year – Shahid Kapoor’s attempts at tweeting
If we EVER come to read news about Shahid Kapur not landing a job (or a hot girl) in Hollywood (or in any English-medium office for that matter), we will KNOW it’s because they read his (its?) Twitter feed. Sample the tweets: “Sonams bday today ..... Wonderful girl .. With the sweetest smile ..... Sure she will do her parents” (We hope she doesn’t. That would be super inappropriate). “Is of no use pourin clean water in a dirty vessel so pour luv on those who r capable of acceptin it unadulterated :)” (Pour love ON those? POUR!? Libido Award contender, aren’t you?)

WTF Social Movement of the Year – Breast Cancer Awareness on Facebook
Question: How does ‘Saucy Red ;)’, ‘Perforated black ;)’, ‘Rainbow hehehe’, ‘Dalmation type polka-dotted’ or ‘Boring white sigh’ help in spreading awareness about breast cancer? Answer: They don’t! Girls who started this unique movement on Facebook to spread awareness by… err... writing their bra colours, elicited ONLY the following responses in boys: a) ‘WTF?’ and b) ‘Boobs!’

WTF Style Statement of the Year – Yana Gupta goes commando
From Mandakini and Zeenat Aman to err.. Anil Kapoor and and Sourav Ganguly, showing skin on camera is the best way to get talked about for years. But Yana Gupta went where no woman has gone before. And no, we don’ mean KRK’s bedroom.

WTF Dialogue of the Year – ‘Chakakachakabakabakachakachaka’ (Raavan)
For a guy who is supposed to have 10 heads, each equipped with its own tongue in working condition, Raavan in Mani Ratnam’s Raavan could only manage a tongue with the speech pattern worse than Khali.  The fact that Abhishek Bachchan was cast in the movie, combined with the sounds he made (Worse than ‘No Idea?’), gave us new reasons to hate Raavan.

WTF Music Video of the Year – by Ashmit Patel
‘Poochte hain log hamesha yeh sawaal, kahan tha? Kahan kho gaya, tu itne saal?’ Yes, apparently people ASK Ashmit Patel where he was lost all along (probably because he’s been found again since then). For the WTF rap video of all time, which has the power to make Eminem suicidal and Baba Sehgal respectable, click here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZECe9KWXSw

WTF Lyrics of the Year – ‘Something something jailhouse rock’ (We Are Family)
Thank God Elvis Presley is no more. Because had he been alive, he would not only have left the building, but he would have f**king destroyed the building and himself NOT before slaying Karan Johar, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Irshad Kamil for the cold blooded murder of his iconic song, ‘Jailhouse rock’. Something something FAIL.

WTF Movies of 2010 – Tie between Hissss and Dunno Y… Na Jaane Kyun
It was the year of No Problem, Tees Maar Khan, Prince, Veer and Raavan, but these two movies were so WTF that if they would have released in the year of 2050 – A Love Story, Harman Baweja may still have had a career. Hissss proved that Mallika Sherawat can not only ruin Bollywood movies, she can do equally worse to (and in) Hollywood movies. And Dunno Y proved that… well, it just proved that sometimes the title of the film is NOT the most WTF thing about it!

Does God Exist?

Just once wouldn't you love for someone to simply show you the evidence for God's existence? No arm-twisting. No statements of, "You just have to believe." Well, here is an attempt to candidly offer some of the reasons which suggest that God exists.
But first consider this. If a person opposes even the possibility of there being a God, then any evidence can be rationalized or explained away. It is like if someone refuses to believe that people have walked on the moon, then no amount of information is going to change their thinking. Photographs of astronauts walking on the moon, interviews with the astronauts, moon rocks...all the evidence would be worthless, because the person has already concluded that people cannot go to the moon.
When it comes to the possibility of God's existence, the Bible says that there are people who have seen sufficient evidence, but they have suppressed the truth about God. On the other hand, for those who want to know God if he is there, he says, "You will seek me and find me; when you seek me with all your heart, I will be found by you." Before you look at the facts surrounding God's existence, ask yourself, If God does exist, would I want to know him? Here then, are some reasons to consider...

1. Does God exist? The complexity of our planet points to a deliberate Designer who not only created our universe, but sustains it today.

Many examples showing God's design could be given, possibly with no end. But here are a few:
The Earth...its size is perfect. The Earth's size and corresponding gravity holds a thin layer of mostly nitrogen and oxygen gases, only extending about 50 miles above the Earth's surface. If Earth were smaller, an atmosphere would be impossible, like the planet Mercury. If Earth were larger, its atmosphere would contain free hydrogen, like Jupiter. Earth is the only known planet equipped with an atmosphere of the right mixture of gases to sustain plant, animal and human life.
The Earth is located the right distance from the sun. Consider the temperature swings we encounter, roughly -30 degrees to +120 degrees. If the Earth were any further away from the sun, we would all freeze. Any closer and we would burn up. Even a fractional variance in the Earth's position to the sun would make life on Earth impossible. The Earth remains this perfect distance from the sun while it rotates around the sun at a speed of nearly 67,000 mph. It is also rotating on its axis, allowing the entire surface of the Earth to be properly warmed and cooled every day.
And our moon is the perfect size and distance from the Earth for its gravitational pull. The moon creates important ocean tides and movement so ocean waters do not stagnate, and yet our massive oceans are restrained from spilling over across the continents.
Water...colorless, odorless and without taste, and yet no living thing can survive without it. Plants, animals and human beings consist mostly of water (about two-thirds of the human body is water). You'll see why the characteristics of water are uniquely suited to life:
It has an unusually high boiling point and freezing point. Water allows us to live in an environment of fluctuating temperature changes, while keeping our bodies a steady 98.6 degrees.
Water is a universal solvent. This property of water means that thousands of chemicals, minerals and nutrients can be carried throughout our bodies and into the smallest blood vessels.
Water is also chemically neutral. Without affecting the makeup of the substances it carries, water enables food, medicines and minerals to be absorbed and used by the body.
Water has a unique surface tension. Water in plants can therefore flow upward against gravity, bringing life-giving water and nutrients to the top of even the tallest trees.
Water freezes from the top down and floats, so fish can live in the winter.
Ninety-seven percent of the Earth's water is in the oceans. But on our Earth, there is a system designed which removes salt from the water and then distributes that water throughout the globe. Evaporation takes the ocean waters, leaving the salt, and forms clouds which are easily moved by the wind to disperse water over the land, for vegetation, animals and people. It is a system of purification and supply that sustains life on this planet, a system of recycled and reused water.
The human brain...simultaneously processes an amazing amount of information. Your brain takes in all the colors and objects you see, the temperature around you, the pressure of your feet against the floor, the sounds around you, the dryness of your mouth, even the texture of your keyboard. Your brain holds and processes all your emotions, thoughts and memories. At the same time your brain keeps track of the ongoing functions of your body like your breathing pattern, eyelid movement, hunger and movement of the muscles in your hands.
The human brain processes more than a million messages a second. Your brain weighs the importance of all this data, filtering out the relatively unimportant. This screening function is what allows you to focus and operate effectively in your world. The brain functions differently than other organs. There is an intelligence to it, the ability to reason, to produce feelings, to dream and plan, to take action, and relate to other people.
The eye...can distinguish among seven million colors. It has automatic focusing and handles an astounding 1.5 million messages -- simultaneously. Evolution focuses on mutations and changes from and within existing organisms. Yet evolution alone does not fully explain the initial source of the eye or the brain -- the start of living organisms from nonliving matter.

2. Does God exist? The universe had a start - what caused it?

Scientists are convinced that our universe began with one enormous explosion of energy and light, which we now call the Big Bang. This was the singular start to everything that exists: the beginning of the universe, the start of space, and even the initial start of time itself.
Astrophysicist Robert Jastrow, a self-described agnostic, stated, "The seed of everything that has happened in the Universe was planted in that first instant; every star, every planet and every living creature in the Universe came into being as a result of events that were set in motion in the moment of the cosmic explosion...The Universe flashed into being, and we cannot find out what caused that to happen."
Steven Weinberg, a Nobel laureate in Physics, said at the moment of this explosion, "the universe was about a hundred thousands million degrees Centigrade...and the universe was filled with light."
The universe has not always existed. It had a start...what caused that? Scientists have no explanation for the sudden explosion of light and matter.

3. Does God exist? The universe operates by uniform laws of nature. Why does it?

Much of life may seem uncertain, but look at what we can count on day after day: gravity remains consistent, a hot cup of coffee left on a counter will get cold, the earth rotates in the same 24 hours, and the speed of light doesn't change -- on earth or in galaxies far from us.
How is it that we can identify laws of nature that never change? Why is the universe so orderly, so reliable?
"The greatest scientists have been struck by how strange this is. There is no logical necessity for a universe that obeys rules, let alone one that abides by the rules of mathematics. This astonishment springs from the recognition that the universe doesn't have to behave this way. It is easy to imagine a universe in which conditions change unpredictably from instant to instant, or even a universe in which things pop in and out of existence."
Richard Feynman, a Nobel Prize winner for quantum electrodynamics, said, "Why nature is mathematical is a mystery...The fact that there are rules at all is a kind of miracle."

4. Does God exist? The DNA code informs, programs a cell's behavior.

All instruction, all teaching, all training comes with intent. Someone who writes an instruction manual does so with purpose. Did you know that in every cell of our bodies there exists a very detailed instruction code, much like a miniature computer program? As you may know, a computer program is made up of ones and zeros, like this: 110010101011000. The way they are arranged tell the computer program what to do. The DNA code in each of our cells is very similar. It's made up of four chemicals that scientists abbreviate as A, T, G, and C. These are arranged in the human cell like this: CGTGTGACTCGCTCCTGAT and so on. There are three billion of these letters in every human cell!!
Well, just like you can program your phone to beep for specific reasons, DNA instructs the cell. DNA is a three-billion-lettered program telling the cell to act in a certain way. It is a full instruction manual.
Why is this so amazing? One has to ask....how did this information program wind up in each human cell? These are not just chemicals. These are chemicals that instruct, that code in a very detailed way exactly how the person's body should develop.
Natural, biological causes are completely lacking as an explanation when programmed information is involved. You cannot find instruction, precise information like this, without someone intentionally constructing it.

My sister - My best friend

"She is your mirror, shining back at you with a world of possibilities.  She is your witness, who sees you at your worst and best, and loves you anyway.  She is your partner in crime, your midnight companion, someone who knows when you are smiling, even in the dark.  She is your teacher, your defense attorney, your personal press agent, even your shrink.  Some days, she's the reason you wish you were an only child"

Sisters. Confidantes. Best friends. Protectors.

This is what Raga and I have been from day one.
People who meet us now, as adults, ask us if we have always been so close. People find that so funny especially since there is a 5 year age gap between us. Raga has always been like a best friend that I can never get rid of.
I still remember the day she was born. I was soooo excited to have a baby sister to play with and someone who would be my best friend.
Ever since she was a kid she's had a very serious front but then can be quirky and funny at times. Even though we have a big age difference, she's the more mature one (or I don't know if it's because I never actually grew up)

She often advices me which I find amusing.
In college, I’d often come home to hear her waiting to hear about my day and what happened.

While we have had our moment, certainly, I have always been so grateful for my sister and the loving, caring, wonderful sister bond we share.
We both know that no matter what, we will always be there for each other. We will always be so proud of each other’s accomplishments, and be each other’s biggest cheerleaders.
We will always be there for a hug, a laugh, a cry, a venting session – anywhere, anytime one of us needs it. We will never turn our backs on each other.
Raga is the only person who can make me laugh when I'm down like few people can.
I love how we can be in a crowded room, with many other people, and all it takes is a knowing look at one another to understand that both of us think something is funny. Or outrageous. Or ridiculous.
We understand each other like no one else.
It’s a sister thing.
But although we are so similar in so many ways – our senses of humor, our loyalty to family, our entrepreneurial spirits, our capacities to love, our penchants for gossip – we are very different in many ways, too.
But our differences only serve to complement us even more.
Raga is very expressive. If something is on her mind, she will not hesitate to let you know. Anyone, really, who wants to know. The whole story. From start to finish. And then some.
I am much more reflective. If something is on my mind, I prefer to take my time to think about it on my own. And share when I am ready to share. Only what I want to share. And only with whom I want to share.

Raga is also very smart. I call her the brains of the family.
She plans things in advance and s very ambitious. She has always gone ahead and done whatever she has decided in her mind to do and I admire that about her.

I am so grateful to be able to talk, laugh, and collaborate together. Mom's sister was 12 years older than her so she is like our sister too. We all just have fun together. We respect each other. We love each other.

For Raga, caring about me means caring about the ones I love. And vice versa.
We will always support one another.

We are Sisters. Confidantes. Best friends. Protectors.

Eat your way to beauty..............

In my 9 years of modelling I've heard tons of advice on how to eat right. Have you heard advice like "bananas make your hair shine or papayas make your skin glow?"  So what exactly is a good diet? What is good and bad for you? You hear so much advice sometimes it confuses you.

You don't have to starve yourself to look good. All you need is to eat the right foods.

Eyes
- Green vegetables : Spinach, zucchini, broccoli and brussels sprouts contain a caroteinoid called lutein and a pigment called zeaxanthinan. Both defend your cells from free radicals and help keep your eyes lustrous. Avoid overcooking for best benefits. Steam or sauté, instead.
- Orange and other vegetables that are rich in antioxidants and fibre work against under-eye puffiness.

Skin
- Probiotic yoghurt : It contains good bacteria that help your skin look healthy. Eczema sufferers can benefit a great deal from a daily intake.
- Fish : Oily fish such as sardines and mackerel contain omega-3 fatty acids that reduce skin inflammation and keep it moisturised. They also promote elasticity, keeping wrinkles at bay.
- Berries : Strawberries, blueberries, etc., contain antioxidant phytonutrients that get rid of free radicals in the blood and guard your collagen, thereby boosting skin repair. Collagen makes your skin supple, smooth and plump.

Nails
- Have chicken, turkey, pork , milk, cheese, yeast, peanuts, beans, wholegrain cereals to avoid brittle nails. Pumpkin seeds are one of the most concentrated non-meat sources of zinc. But many vegetarian foods also contain phytic acid that binds with zinc, making it unavailable to the body. Hence, take a Vitamin C supplement. It will make zinc more available.

Hair
- Poultry : Lean meats like chicken and turkey provide high quality proteins, essential for growth, repair and maintenance. Low-fat milk products such as skimmed milk, yogurt and cottage cheese are great sources too. If you like eggsand don't suffer from high cholesterol, have one yolk a day. It contains Vitamin B-12 which promotes hair growth and prevents hair loss.
- Salmon : It contains omega-3 fatty acids, B12 and iron.
- Flaxseeds : What salmon does for non-vegetarians, flax seed does for vegans.
- Oysters : Try oysters for faster hair growth. They contain zinc.
- Whole wheat and brown rice : Make sure you include whole wheat, brown rice and fortified cereals in your everyday diet.

As long as you ensure you eat right amounts of healthy food, you will always be beautiful. Remember dieting doesn't mean depriving yourself from food but rather eating the right kinds of food in the right portions.......
